CONSTRUCTION THREAD: Pinnacle on Main

It does appear that construction has begun on the 400 block of North Main streetscaping.  The signs had been up for several weeks, but the actual work has finally started.  Also, the work on McPherson park is looking good, particularly the foutain and water feature of "The Park" residential project.  Check it out if you haven't been lately.

Yea - that entrance and water feature at McPherson Park off of East Park Avenue is looking great! It rather reminds me of a smaller version of the Main Street entrance to Falls Park.

Oh, I haven't been by McPherson Park in a long time, i'll have to go by there and check that out; sounds neat.

Hopefully, actual building of the Pinnacle on Main will begin tomorrow or Tuesday. Can't wait for this project to get off the ground and get moving!!!!

Has anybody driven by the pinnacle on main site today to see if actual construction has started yet.

I drove by at around 12:00pm and still no construction .

none, nada, zilch.......... Vehicles are still using the parking lot for parking.

Besides there being no actual construction, the website hasn't been updated in the last few months. It makes you wonder if something is going on with this project keeping it from getting off the ground.

I would have to agree with you. Makes you wonder if something is wrong. I figure if construction was actually going to start soon, then they would have told the people who park there not to return.

Read the Web site carefully. You'll notice that constrution is scheduled to begin sometime between August and the end of December. We've still got more than three months before that will be obsolete. Take heart and remember that it is a totally real development.

Actually it says it suppose to begin in august of 2005 and end in december of 2006, not begin between august-december of 2005.

I wouldn't worry about it. When they do start construction it will probably make all of the papers and the evening news.

While Pinnacle may not have started, that section of the Main Street redo is well underway. By there today and it's down to two lanes, the pavement is being ripped up and the actual work has started on extending the Main Street feel.

Drove by the site today, nothing is going on. There are still people parking on the lot. Surely someone on this board has some info on what is going on, and why no construction has taken place. A couple more days and its going to be Oct. There going to have a hard time getting people moved in by december.

^^I'm not sure why construction hasn't started either, but if you go to www.pinnacleonmain.com and click on more information there is a phone number you can call to see when the construction of it is going to begin.

Did anybody see in todays Greenville News about a new local bank being started called "Pinnacle Bank"? Isn't The Pinnacle supposed to have a bank (branch) on the ground floor? Could it be this bank?

I wondered about that myself. The article says it will be on N. Pleasantburg though.

Received a response to an email I sent to Bob Ellis yesterday. Says they are very eager to start this construction as well and are just waiting on city permits. Says the city is currently backed up with permitting several projects. Their target is to start site preparation by the end of this month, so I guess we should be patient and be glad we have so much going on at once.

Doesn't surpirse me one bit, that is why The Edge is months behind scedule, becuase of city permitting.

Something is starting to happen at the site. Was by there yesterday and there were two trucks with several guys (looked like surveyors), definitely construction guys. Could it be any day now?
