Rome, NY. Part of the Utica/Rome MSA, is set to actually gain about 625 jobs as a result of BRAC. Here is an article from the Utica Observer-Dispatch.

This looks like it will be a windfall for the local economy there, and could help speed a recovery, especially with added jobs in information technology. It might just be my own skewed vision, but it seems like the northeast is faring pretty well in terms of the BRAC closings. Any thoughts?
