Their is a rendering of a 6 story building on the corner.  It’s shorter than what was proposed for the corner, a more...typical design,  and grey to white color palate if I remember correctly.  It says office and retail for lease.

Looks like this is the latest rendering for the project. It's from a LoopNet page for that was created on 3/12/19. It's basically exactly what you'd expect for an apartment building with ground floor retail/office space in this area. The projected opening date is September 2020.

That parking at 4 and 8 Constitution better be garages and not surface lots. <_< I'm almost certain the city specifically required the developer to build a garage or hide the parking. That parking is not in keeping with the development agreeing.

Two Constitution was resubmitted to the planning commission on June 17th. Hopefully this will be the final review and we can push this thing over the finish line towards construction.

There’s a new building permit filed for 6 Constitution. There’s no information on what it’s for but hopefully this is a sign that this will be progressing to construction soon.

And 2 Constitution has yet again been marked resubmittal required. I swear, that building will never get off the ground.

Site plan for Fairfield Inn was just filed for this site, which explains its mention the ODU Market Review discussed in the Hampton Inn thread.

Fairfield Inns that I’ve seen are pretty suburban. It will be interesting to see what is proposed for this location.

They will need to be substantially in line with what they agreed with the city to put there. It'll have to be at least somewhat urban.

Something like this.

Project received final approval on November 15th. Construction should begin shortly.

First post in this thread is from 2005. We’ve been talking about this project for 14 years...

Just think how many projects Raleigh and Charlotte have developed and built in 14 years.

SMH

...and we wonder why we are in the situation with transit and development all around HR.

CityView has submitted a site plan for an office building at the corner of Constitution and Bonney rd. No idea of size or scope yet. Once those details are made available, I will create a separate thread for that project.

I just passed that intersection yesterday.  They have a rendering posted on that block of the building show in the above post from April 1 2019.  6 stories, typical modern, resembles the Encore type architecture.  Not the 15 story building originally shown for that corner.

That's the apartments, not the office building. That rendering is for 2 Constitution.

So the office building will be on the small lot closer to midtown apartments? It will be interesting to see how many floors we get our of this, it's not a very big lot, any parking would likely have to be in a garage.

This is the conceptual plan in the marketing flyer. Hopefully it is something bigger but the marketing isn’t encouraging.

Looks like they had it up for sale . If they've taken it back off the market perhaps it's changed in scope.

All of the pre-development permits for Two Constitution have been filed. Should see groundbreaking very soon.

Finally. This has been by far the slowest project I’ve ever seen in this area.
