IMHO i think it has taken a very long time for this to get renovated. Sometimes renovations take longer than new construction because all the old crap has to be tore out. Brings back nightmares of when i started doing construction and got assigned to work on the poinsett hotel renovation. Cool but there were some nasty smells in that place and some plain out freaky stuff.

This looks so much nicer than the Ramada Inn did! Wow. Although it has taken them a long time to renovate it, I think it will be worth it in the long run - especially as the Church Street corridor's master plan is implemented.

Anybody know the first move in dates for these? Looks like the landscaping is complete and seems the building should be open for occupancy soon.

Occupancy should begin within the next couple of weeks. The views from this building are arguably some of the best in the city. It is the only site with a complete view of the skyline.

I hear there is still one remaining penthouse (with the awesome view) for sale. Do you know if that's accurate?

It may be available as a resale. I believe all of the penthouses were sold at the auction. I'll confirm in the morning.

All penthouse units were sold at the auction, but there are a few available for resale. Lots of bang for the buck with this project.

Hey...if anybody on here got one of the downtown-facing units, I'd love to set my camera up on a tripod on your balcony one day/evening. There are some great views from there.

I noticed today that there are many more houses set for demolition in this area. Thats good news for the Brio. Those old houses are really a eyesore and dangerous for the homeless people that sleep in them. Im glad to see the city is gearing up to tear these homes down.

Wasn't Jesse Jackson born in the area? I hope they don't plan on tearing his childhood home down. We could use it as tourism many years down the road

The Brio appears to be another real success for new residential units in the City since the parking area is full every night.
