1,000 Katrina Families to Philadelphia

Our Mayor has pledged to take 1,000 families displaced

by Katrina, which could be around 5,000 people.

MSNBC is reporting that they are looking for transportation

from Houston to take the first hundred families to Philly.

Thats great news. I know I have my issues with the Street administration, but that's a wonderful move by the mayor and city. Has Philly recieved anyone yet, I know Pittsburgh has offered (probably not as much as Philly) but has been told nothing is needed at this time.
