Brown 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2005 500 left homeless by Katrina invited to the Granite State By MARK HAYWARD Union Leader Staff Merchants Automotive Group Plans are under way to bring 500 people from the Gulf Coast to New Hampshire to stay temporarily while their homes and communities are rebuilt. Gov. John Lynch yesterday said he offered to host the evacuees in the Granite State. Over the weekend, the Federal Emergency Management Agency asked state officials to consider the matter.
