I believe Galley is referring to the site further down Pleasantburg where Keith Drive intersects it. There’s a big empty plot of land there. A site grading permit was issued for it recently.

The Junction was bustling yesterday afternoon.  So encouraging to witness successful organic economic growth in progress.

Do we know what is gonna get built on this site? Hopefully not another car wash.

What site are you referring to?  The Junction is an adaptive reuse development with several active businesses.  I don't see room for a car wash there.

The construction project at the intersection of Pleasantburg Drive and Keith Drive. I thought you were referring to the actual junction like intersection bustling with construction activity not the Junction mixed use development.

Does anyone know what's happening on the large plateau at intersection of Pleasantburg and Keith Dr.?  They have been clearing it for a couple of weeks.  There were plans for a development on that site, but that was 2008-ish.

Everyone once in a while they work on the large mounds of dirt.  I believe I once joked about it being a ski resort, but now I believe it is just a holding area for fill dirt.

Spinx owns it.  From article:

"So, I reached out to Sara Dolan, of Smoak PR, who handles PR for Spinx .

Dolan told me there is not a Spinx store planned for the property at Keith and 291. She said the property is “being maintained for visual betterment.”"

The Pleasantburg Drive/Laurens Road corridors should be demolished and cleared and then redeveloped as housing and neighborhood retail.  Perhaps starting with McAlister Square and Pleasantburg Shopping Center.

The Wall Street Journal has an article about the housing shortage in the US.  Greenville certainly needs more housing, at price points below downtown’s high prices.

Pleasantburg/Laurens corridor should absolutely be Greenville’s version of SouthEnd Charlotte except in on a much smaller scale.
