Wireless community in Spartanburg

According to the link below, Spartanburg county may soon have the first SC sub-division with wireless capabilities. Cameras will be mounted throughout major areas of the development and homeowners can install cameras of their own. You can check on your kids at the pool, visitors coming in, or even watch your house being built.

Is this great or is this a little "big brotherish"?

Definitely invasive! My house would be boarded up tight, if this was a mandatory regulation in every new community. I understand some people's concern about safety, but I'd be every bit as concerned about the abuse of these "eyes" everywhere. JMO. :ph34r:

It says that it is to monitor construciton, not spy on people.

for those who like that, they will be the ones to move into that neighborhood. but i dont want joe small next door watching me take out the trash or bring home friends on his personal video monitor....
