What is up with all of the corporate headquarters locating here then closing? Certus, Iron Yard, and now WYNIT. The site is cursed or something.

BB&T is moving its Upstate headquarters there. Everything is okay.

I thought they were moving to Mauldin which is going to mean even more empty office space downtown: https://upstatebusinessjournal.com/news/bbt-plans-30m-140000-sf-facility-mauldin/

The mortgage department is moving to Mauldin. The headquarters have been moved to the One building. https://upstatebusinessjournal.com/news/bbts-boys-back-town/

Ahhh.

While that is good news, downtown is still losing hundreds of employees and thousands of square feet of leased office space due to BB&T moving and WYNIT along with Iron Yard closing. Hopefully Chartspan and United Community Bank continue their rapid expansion downtown.

I was in ORVIS yesterday and one of the employees said ScanSource is moving their upper management offices  into the space to the side and above ORVIS.  can anyone confirm?

Seems like an odd space, but it's nice that it's going to be occupied by someone. I wish they'd move their entire operations downtown.

That would make sense seeing how the space is currently being upfitted. Hopefully they and Synnex move their entire operations downtown.

Do they use any of that Logue Ct. flex space for warehouse, or is it all built out as office? In any case, moving the entire operation to the One would be a big increase in cost for them.
