The top floor has a smaller footprint than the rest. The building will also be a box, although it will sit on a slightly larger box (parking garage).

37th floor = rooftop club

38th floor = mechanical/ "elevator box"

edit - on second thought ... the official site says the top condo floor is the 35th. So i have no idea. But they don't list a penthouse floorplan, so maybe that is 36 and above.

It was on the report a few days ago by some guy that's also doing some transformations for downtown. He's along the same lines as Kuhn & Sleiman, though I forgot his name, but he mentioned the name for the 3rd tower, which is, The Vu.

Just some questions:

1) Is the high rise crane nearing vertical for The Peninsula yet?

2) When is construction supposed to start on The Vue?

I wouldn't expect construction to start on the Vue for some time. There has been no marketing yet. Also, I would suspect that the crane for the Peninsula would have to be gone before above-the-foundation work could be done on The Vue. The site is super tight. Lakelander could probably confirm or deny that though.

it just seems to me that all of a sudden, the strand is taking FOREVER to top out, and I know that i could just be so excited that time creeps, but i know that it has really only added one floor in almost a month, and many people on this site guessed that the peninsula's crane would rise in january (or the cranes from the strand would transfer over), but it looks like it could be a couple of months. any thoughts on this?

on a lighter note, SMP is rising very quickly and i think i counted twelve floors!

^Hmmmm.

Could it be that half the labor is now working on framing out and filling up the lower floors? You know, with the skeleton up, the walls come next. It seems like the wall portion slowly creeps upwards, just a few floors behind the crane work. I dunno....
