Can's Bar coming to Charlotte

Looks like it will be a cool place, and different than anything that is out there right now. It seems like it should be kind of a big deal for Charlotte too, because it will only be the 3rd in the country, and the 1st outside of the Northeast.

Yeah I read that article this morning and it sounded really cool. That should make for an awesome location too. When do they plan on opening? I did not see a date in the article.

I'm not sure I'd want to eat their BBQ though. You never know, they might accidently use some of that midwestern beef... that would be sacralege around these parts

Im glad something is going in that Cotton Mill space, it's been vacant for so long. I also think it is a really nice spot, and hopes this does well. At the very top of the article it says qoute:"Tavern opening at 5th and Graham in Jan." Hopefully this will help spark more options on Graham St for resturants, bars and more retail.

I think it's a great use of the space...I'm just concerned about the parking....there is already pretty limited space nearby, and this is supposed to seat 500.....it is a good stopping point between Cedar St. Tavern and Tryon though.
