Charlotte: The best place to live

I've thought about it after all the recent event across the country.... I really think Charlotteans are blessed in where they live due to the lack of natural disasters that hit this area. We don't get major hurricanes usually.. and when they do come inland most of the time they weaken enough not to cause a major threat to us... flooding isn't a problem, the occasional severe weather, but never too hot for too long or too cold for too long either. No major wildfires, earthquakes, tornados, heavy heavy snowstorms, landslides, etc etc...

What do you think?

Yeah we are lucky.....but are you from goldsboro or greensboro......cause goldsboro has a significantly higher risk of 'canes?

I'm from Charlotte.. going to school in Greensboro (didn't realize my location Gboro could also mean goldsboro)... but yeah Goldsboro has a higher risk of hurricanes and flooding

The same could be said of several other Southern cities: Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, Columbia, Greenville, Birmingham, Richmond, etc.

Charlotte is not too far inland to get a bit of coastal air once in a while. It's more noticable in the spring.

but it's not like it happens like THAT in Charlotte so often...

My grandfather's casket went floating down the street once due to the Goldsboro weather.
