Go up U.S. 221 to the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Linville Wilderness Area,the Falls and Gorge are some of the best hiking in the east.
Also see the caverns on U.S.221.

Man, my absolute FAVORITE time of the year! We were already in northern Greenville County today, so decided to do an "apple run". Beautiful and busy day, today, in apple country. A few photos:

Wish computers had "smell-a-vision"......the fragrance of the apple turnover was simply heaven!
