Spicy that was some great info, I always enjoy hearing how our regions downtowns (E. Mid-west) are being revitalized. Glad to see the new mayor is emphasizing downtown.

That's true one of Pittsburgh's dailies (The Tribune-Review being the other one) is owned by Block although they are HQed in Toledo I know that the patriarch (recently deceased) was either from or made his home in Pittsburgh. Those are the only two newspapers they own (Pittsburgh and Toledo) but they also own some radio and TV stations in the multi-state region and a cable company.

Recently, they have mulled selling the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette because of the impending union negotiations this year. Block has always been a very generous and integral part of the fabric over here, you guys should be proud in Toledo to call them citizens .
