Sidewalk construction

Just an odd tidbit, but thought I'd mention that they are improving the sidewalks, adding curb cutouts for wheelchairs, etc., on the bridge at exit 25, of all the odd places to put your resources. This bridge (technically Smithfield Av - I believe, it connects North Main Street with Smithfield Ave). Glad to see any infrastructure improvements happening, but this one strikes me as odd. Yes, you do see people walking the bridge now and again, but this hardly seemed to be a priority, given all the other streets and sidewalks that need work. Also, in general, I've noticed an improvement in the street cleanup. More streetsweepers, for instance.

I definitely applaud any infrastructure improvements anywhere, although it is something of an interesting location...

They are also improving sidewalks all over Federal Hill. My immediate neighborhood (Vernon St., Battey St., West Fountain St.) has a bunch of new sidewalks now. They still haven't fixed the one in front of my house, though...

I did read where RI got a windfall from the latest federal transportation bill and were going to start repaving lots of roads.
