I came across this link while searching for details on an intriguingly-named auto parts store in Tucson, which apparently also has a name-sake in San Jose.

Lots of post-war Americana images, which I really enjoy.

I don't know how many know of this site, but I found it interesting and very funny, and I've never been to San Jose. Especially the section on the Guadalupe River and nasty motels.

ahhh the good ol days those nasty motels were whore houses in the 80's now most of them are gone but theres still some around but San Jose Cleaned up from the 80's
