Marta Bus route would link hotels and tourist spots

The AJC has this story about a

Marta tourist bus route which I think is a great idea.

MARTA is planning a new bus route that would link the downtown hotel district to most of the city's top attractions, including the Georgia Aquarium, the Martin Luther King Jr. historic district, the High Museum of Art

The buses would run every half-hour and be painted a special color to distinguish them from the rest of MARTA's fleet and travel in a continuous loop.

I think they should not just paint the buses a different color but use a different specail type of bus altogether.

Isn't this also part of the plan with the Streetcar? The first phase of the streetcat is supposed to go up and down Peachtree, the next was a downtown tourist loop.

Still, I think it's a good idea. Get this up and running with specially marked busses, then convert to the streetcars later.
