More like Chicago or New York.

LA's skyline isn't even as impressive as Dallas, Houston, or Atlanta's.

Man, if all those get built Miami will look impressive.

:)

I agree.

Either way, it will still have a very impressive skyline.

1180 Peachtree makes for an impressive sight from I-85. A very futuristic looking tower; I like it.

yes indeedy. I did not really understand it the first time I went through, but I have really grown to like it. It did not seem to mesh with the rest of the buildings surrounding it, but it is in-fill and I like in-fill.

Here's some GREAT shots of it from the developers site.

http://www.1180peachtree.com/progress/progress.cfm

Check it out.

The thing I can't figure out, but makes the building interesting is the wrap. If you take that away, it's just another rectangular office building, but the wings that the wrap makes at the top makes the building what it is.

Yeah, the warp is cool. And it seems a bit shinier than other shiny-type scrapers.

Here is a rendering of the 750-800 foot tall, Trump International Hotel and Tower New Orleans..

Looking at the render doesn't give it the appearence of 750 - 800 ft. but renders have a tendency to do that.

750-800 is very tall for a 60 story hotel.

I must say I love the NO rendering, Trump will propbably build some high ass ceilings so thats why the building is taller than it seems it should be...let's see some office building proposals...if there are any!

^There has been talk of a 900-1000 foot tall mixed use office/hotel tower going up in downtown near the riverfront.

Last I heard, the developers are still working on a plan that large after Katrina.

This isn't a totally new skyscraper, but once this projected has been finished it will sure look like one.

Giannasca Development Group LLC, just recieved recieved financing to turn the 47 story Plaza tower in New Orleans from this...

Into this..

All these New Orleans developments... and I thought New Orleans was DONE! Just kidding... I live in N.O. :D

I'm just happy to see these developers follow through, thank God.

BTW, the Trump tower will be 70 stories, not 60... that would explain the abnormally high height.

We are only 11 weeks into the rebuilding process in New Orleans, and we already have a 750-800 foot tower ready for construction, a 47 story tower getting ready to be turned into something awesome, a 30+ story condo tower proposed for downtown/French Quarter, a 28 story hotel back under construction, and a 900-1000 foot mixed use tower in the works. :w00t: And thats just the major developments!

In many different ways, it's a very exciting time to be in New Orleans!

But to get back on topic, there should be many new renderings released of the new Plaza Tower(now called Crescent City Residencies) project, so I will post those as soon as they are released.
