This article in the

Washington Post does not hold out much hope for the forgotten neighborhoods of New Orleans. The article portends a future of Disney and Vegas for the Crescent City. I hope to God this won't happen.

I really don't think the locals here in New Orleans, including myself, would allow that to happen. There's too much history, too strong a culture, and strong roots in this community to allow that to happen.
