Will it ever SNOW?

As much as I'd like to see it snow in Florida....let's face it, going anywhere will be a freakin nightmare! People in Atlanta and Charlotte totally freak out at the slightest amount of snow! Imagine what it would be like in South Florida, with all the grannies and foreigners who can't drive already, let alone in snow! :P

just wondering if anyone knew how cold it has to be to snow, and also what is the average temp in south fl during winter?

How cold it needs to be depends on a lot of things, usually though, it is tough to get a good snowfall in anything higher then 38-40 degrees.

As for the average temps in south florida, the keys are a tropical climate and are surrounded by the warm gulf stream. It rarely gets lower then 45 degrees even in the coldest part of winter. Areas like miami, naples, and ft. Lauderdale. It can and has snowed there before, but it is extremly rare. Everything would have to happen perfectly to get a decent snowfall that far south. Average temps in South Florida usually bottom out in the Low 50s in January, They are lucky to get even one freeze a year because the water surrounding the southern part of the peninsula stays relatively warm in the winter.
