Consolidated job relocations

Given the location of Robbins and the plant, its good and bad news. Its good to move facilities over so trucks are near US 220 but it is bad because the Klaussner Location is about 2-3 miles south of downtown Robbins (on NC 705) so employees will be required to drive 15-25 miles to work one way to either Candor or Asheboro. This is another blow to Moore County's (particularly the northwest & western portions) manufacturing sector since many milling jobs have been lost over the years. Robbins, as you may know is the hometown of former senator John Edwards and former astronaut Charles Brady Jr.

More on the short article, from WXII.

On some personal notes, its ABOUT time WXII brings news to Moore County! I could not find this article from WRAL or WFMY but oddly WXII out of all tv stations!

Yeah, technically Moore County is in the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville Designated TV Market so WRAL, WTVD and if they please WNCN should cover this area. Maybe WXII covered it because they're moving to Asheboro and that's in the Greensboro-WS-HP DMA.

but anyway.. yes it is a blow to Robbins and the area and that's unfortunate, but at least the employees can relocate
