Peninsula sales at 95%

Recommended Posts

This is from the Daily Record on Friday:

Among those present at the event was Mayor John Peyton (seen here with American Land Ventures LLC principal Granvil Tracy), who said he has been impressed with the progress made at the site by project developer American Land Ventures and with the brisk sales there. There are reportedly fewer than 10 condominiums available. American Land Ventures also is developing neighboring apartment tower The Strand.

Given these figures, and what I was told months ago by a principal with American Land Ventures, I would expect that an announcement will be made relatively soon that The Strand will not open as apartments, but will go condo instead.

They will probably wait until the final few units sell first, so as not to compete with themselves. Since the units are smaller in The Strand, this might be a good chance to pick up a riverfront unit at a slightly more affordable price (hopefully, anyway). Since the building is well underway, maybe they are protected from the recent price spikes from the hurricanes too. They would also be able to take good advantage of the fact that they will open probably 18+ months ahead of RiverWatch or any other proposed projects.
