Yah, its quite amazing, the level of detail. Looking at grDads 3rd pic, the underside of the ledge of the top floor has more detailing than most entire projects do nowadays.

I think I count at least 5 - 6 layers of "crown" around the top of the Peninsular Club :blink: Most of that is Terra Cotta and stone, isn't it? Anyone know? Nitro.... :)

Terra Cotta, Stone, or even potentially painted metal. When I was involved in some stuff on the Steketee's building (pre Rockford and Blue Cross) we were going to have to deal with painted metal detailing on the oldest section of the building (facing the Penn Club). Some of it was rusted beyond repair.

Judging by the picture, the rope line, egg & dart molding, the dentil molding, and the brackets all look like stone to me.

Welcome craig d! I really like the old warehouses on Godfrey, like McInerney's and the one you posted. Actually, if you photoshop out the chair in the other, it's not that bad :dontknow::)

By the way this isn't a picture of mine, just I found this on someones blog for Grand Raggidy, which I believe we have two folks from that squad here on UP - GR.
