Concord Mills

This thread wasn't ever really necessary though. The other threads that are in the top of the page were a bunch of topics which eventually merged, and formed due to something going on such as expansion, redevelopment, restructuring etc.
True. The other mall threads were about developments at those malls.

Like duh you guys! lol..........OMG Concord Mills is finally up on the top topics with the rest of the malls YAY :D

This was not just malls. This was of ANY attraction in North Carolina. You are stating the obvious about the mall ranking.

What temeteron was refering to was that the Concord Mills Thread was at the top section of the Charlotte Retail & Restaurants forum page.

Haha, yeah. I remember first seeing it and took a pic with my camera phone. Has probably been a couple of years ago or so. I have to be careful with the name "UrbanPlanet" because that clothing company has it trademarked.

It could be a similar situation to the one faced by Polo Ralph Lauren with the U.S. Polo Association. The latter licenced its name to a brand of mid-priced men's sportsewear, and Polo Ralph Lauren can't do much about it because, according to a judge's recent descision, both companies have a right to use the name so long as they're not pretending to be the other.

They were along the back side of the loop. Nothing ever does well there.

Hah, that's where I always park and go in. Doesn't the Gap outlet do well? It's always crowded.

A Lane Bryant Outlet is coming to Concord Mills.

My grandmother loves that store. I'll be happy to inform her on this

FYI, the Mills Corp, which owns Concord Mills, has run into financial difficulties. It is restating earnings, is being investigated by the SEC, and has put itself up for sale. Apparently "shoppertainment" isn't as lucrative as was previously believed.

Anybody think that IKEA might move to the area? They have been spotting Charlotte for awhile, and with the ammount of space there still is around CMills that by adding IKEA it will only add just one more of a million big boxes springing up around there?

Not sure, but another possibility is across I-77 from Northlake Mall. There is already a mini furniture cluster there. Not sure how IKEA meshes with the stores there, but there is certainly room.
