This is great news. I do think, regardless of better connectivity there, we shouldn't go a mile between 36th St and Sugar Creek Stations without a crossing at Craighead for bike/ped. Those neighborhoods should be more connected across.

Why did they get rid of the road connection on Craighead to begin with? There's plenty of room.

Does the Cross Charlotte Trail follow the creek through here?  Is the developer going to build it along the Philemon extension if so?

Currently the city is planning to build both these sections of the  XCLT and they're pretty far in the design phase. They have been very reluctant to have developers build it because time tables aren't guaranteed. But Matheson-Craighead is further along than Craighead north.

Chadborn Mill renovation looks great and those Camden apartments next door will look great too.   Amelies is inching toward completion on 36th St.

Not sure if this should fall under Midwood, Plaza-Shamrock or NoDa but a Mattie’s Diner sign is up on the Tire Depot building at the corner of The Plaza and Shamrock. 

I recently noticed that the "Coming Soon" sign is no longer at the Tire Depot. I hope that this isn't an indication that the project isn't moving forward, but given the impacts of the pandemic, it wouldn't totally surprise me.

4.5. Chadbourn Mill looks great

6. new Bainbridge apartments

7. 8. new Camden NoDa apartments underway with the garage 

9.10.11 apartments along N Brevard paralleling the tracks.

"2710 Chick Godley Road" is probably the road the development is going to be on though I'm not too sure.

"The Brownfields Property is currently vacant, undeveloped land bisected by Little Sugar Creek which has created low lying flood plains between the two parcels. The flood plain associated with Little Sugar Creek is not included in the Brownfields Property" <-- this pretty much describes that location. 

What they're planning to do:

"BP NODA, LLC has committed itself to redevelop the Brownfields Property for: high density multi-family residential, retail, office, and with prior written DEQ approval, other commercial uses on the Brownfields Property."

Last I heard Oxford Properties is building 251 multifamily units across four buildings at this site, with Kimley-Horn as architect. Chick Godley Rd is going to  cut through and connect 31st to Matheson.

Edit: Permit filings also give the individual buildings addresses on Cullman Ave, which would create a much needed connection to 36th St

I hope this one little building and the sign from Herrin Ice site can be saved or incorporated into the new Grubb project.  

Camden NoDa in full swing and Chadbourn Mill renovation looks great.

I was just checking the permit review status of the Link NoDa apartments on 36th and I saw that there is a review section for "public pool".   Does anyone have any info on this?

From Sugar Creek station and Flywheel project there.  Lots planned but with a new partner reportedly Third and Urban out of Atlanta will happen now.  Photos 1-4

Amaze Apartments that are amazing isolated for now as the crossing at Craighead to N Davidson is closed and the rail lines are fenced off.  Once Grubbs Herrin Ice project opens it will be more connected however it looked pretty well leased from what I saw.   Photos 5-10   

Photos 11 12 the new Exchange apartment along Matheson site work underway. 

Last photo the Camden NoDa apartments going up with the garage first.
