State University system to expand to Bridgeport?

State considers expanding university system to Bridgeport.

I've never understood the Connecticut System...why is UConn not part of the state university system and why are the community colleges not considered a part of the system. In NY everything public is SUNY (except CUNY in NYC) regardless of whether its a Community College, a University like Binghamton or a liberal arts college like Geneseo.

What the hell would they name it? "Southern... um... Western... um... SouthWestern Connecticut State University"

Good news for Bridgeport, it's about time someone starts to pay attention to that poor city....
