Another bad business move by COT

[Florida]

I'm refering to the Millage rate for the City of Tallahassee which is 3.7, 1.00 for property within the downtown area. Compare that to other cities and ours is quite low.

The overall milage is quite high... Public Schools are the Grand Prize winners with a Millage Rate of 9.224!!!

The Breakdown

City of Tallahassee ......... 3.7

Leon County

General Property Tax....... 8.55

Health MSTU .................. 0.12

EMS MSTU ..................... 0.50

Leon County School Board 9.224

Downtown IA .................. 1.00

NW FLA Water Mgt. District 0.05

Thanks also for your message. I often don't agree with you, but respect you for your energy and perspective. Plus, you do a great job here.

I have strong opinions, but I think I am fair (not always, we are all human) and try to hear others. Sometimes even chaning my mind. I think we walk away better people if we try and review our own thoughts with those who we disagree with. JMHO
