Yeah looks like the beach area is going to go soon. The developer can probably make alot more money turning the whole lake into private homes rather then keeping some of it public...I've never been to it but driven by it quite a few times. Looks like a cute little place that would be fun to go to if you are in elementary or middle school...A friend told me that they had to drain it a few years back because of a snake problem though, not sure if that's true or not....

Glad to hear the lake won't be used for swimming purposes anymore.

It's much more suitable for real-estate. Hopefully the old park can be dismantled in an aesthetically pleasing manner.

I went to Silver Lake once when I was about 13 I suppose... I took one look at the water and decided I shouldn't risk it. I think I got my feet wet. Give me a chemically treated pool anyday :)
