Residents, developers and county planners are drawing lines to help decide where to allow thousands of homes that could be built in Lower Richland in the next 10 to 15 years.

I wonder if this plan will control the sprawl that is headed out Garner's Ferry?

I'm guessing it will force the county to fine tune the Town and Country plan. I hope so, as it looks as though that will be the next area to "explode" as NE Richland and Irmo have done.

Indeed I would like to see more infill development in that area help connect it more with the metro. I would also like to see 378 between Sumter and Columbia expanded and set up more llike an interstate highway such as the By-ways or 22 in Myrtle Beach.

Yeah I was on Atlas Rd. the other day and couldn't help but to see all the housing developments taking place.

I'm on that side of town all the time and when they FINALLY get a movie theatre I'll know things are moving up out there. lol.
