Does anyone have any new info on The Vue on Main in Downtown Memphis? Their website was recently updated with new renderings, and it says "commencing fall 2005."

I haven't been downtown in a couple of weeks...has it "commenced" yet?

If you're interested...www.thevueonmain.com

the only new thing ive heard is that its supposed to be 290 feet or so... at least thats what emporis says. which made me confused because the renderings on their website look like it say 270 feet.

The renderings on the website show 279' to be the roof height...the 290' figure might be the structural height which would include that maintanence-box-like thing on top.

The last time I drove down Gayoso, MLGW crews were down in the big hole doing something with large pipes. I'm assuming they are preparing the site's infrastructure. They have bricks and supplies building up along the sidewalk too. It should be very exciting to watch it go up.

The website doesn't have any floorplans yet. I wonder why? The Horizon towers were planned much later than the Vue and they already have floorplans. I cant find a website on the 18 story Goodwyn condos. I drove pass today, and the entire west side wall of the building is missing. When are they finishing up on that building?

The Vue is a private-public project involving minimal federal funds, and we all know how long that takes to secure. The Horizon is completely a private development. As far as the Goodwyn, they are making one of the buildings beside it a parking garage which will connect to the tower building. I'm assuming that's why the one side of the building is gone.

When I drove pass, the entire north wall was gone. All the way up to the top floor, which is 18 floors up I think. I did notice a smaller building next to it that was being gutted.
