They need to focus on Pleasant Avenue. There are alot of blighted and run down apartments that I heard are infested with drugs and other bad elements. It would be good for the area if they could get that Harris Teeter or Farm Fresh near East Beach. That would make people want to live there because they wouldn't have to drive far for a quality grocery store. Other quality retailers would help if they were near East Beach. I heard that the owner of that shopping center near there don't want to remodel it and she is happy with the way it is. Remodeling it would make that part of OV look much better. Also getting rid of that hotel down the street near the storefront church would help because its roach infested and disgusting.

I haven't been over to East Beach since November. Any update on the Residences at Taylor's Landing or the East Beach Villas at Pretty Lake? I thought both of them were due for September 2007 openings.

Was over in OV this weekend, headed for my new fave Mexican rest, Jessy's Taqueria. Anyway, there is site prep and street work going on where the Residences at Taylor's Landing was planned. Anyone have any news?
