Shreveport/Bossier City Development

Really? What'd you do?

Friday night we drove in. That was cool within itself, being able to see Shreveport at night. We stayed on the outskirts in The Haven. That same night I went downtown to the Film Festival and had some fun there. Saturday we visited some friends in the neighborhoods surrounding St. Marks and went back downtown to enjoy the Red River Revel.

Just seeing jems like the Strand Theater and that awesome prkwy along the river with the massive park in the center, along with enjoying the activities in town just made me realize how cool Shreveport is. Really fun city.

Also, it's very surprising that more people are not here. Shreveport's a growing city and has a really bright future ahead.

How's the progress going with the Shreveport Commons project?

To be honest, I haven't been keeping a close eye on it, but I always here bits and pieces of some of the news and events that are happening. I think you could probably say that things are progressing slowly, but surely. I think conceptually, Shreveport Commons has the potential to take downtown Shreveport to the next level. It has an exciting vision...

I found something on the Shreveport document center

that shows the remaining Sprague street row home is

to be moved next to the baptist church and converted into a

possible artist studio/performance house
