There are certainly quite a bit of Fast Food Chicken Restaurants in the South.

I want to know which is your favorite.

I'll state that mine is Popeye's.

Popeyes!

Since the chain started in Arabi (a suburb just outside of New Orleans), Popeyes was the fast food chicken of choice growing up in NOLA.

I like Popeye's. Got a bunch in the area too!

But I kinda prefer Chik-Fil-A for my chicken fix. KFC is good to me as well.

Zaxby's Gets my vote... (Great Service, Great Food)

2nd - Chick Fil A (Sweet BarBQue Sauce good on waffle fries)

3rd - KFC (All about the Original Recipe)

4th - Popeyes (Red Beans & Rice)

5th - Church's (Love their Okra)

2. Popeyes- red beans and rice, dirty rice, Spicy chicken

3. KFC- original recipe, honey BBQ chicken wings

4. Lees- like the crispyness of their chicken

There's no KFC or Bojangles on the choices. My choice would be KFC original recipe.

The delis at the Piggly Wiggly in Charleston does a really good job on fried chicken.

Chick-Fil-A so far some of the others are starting to open up in my area. Surprisingly with Tyson here in northwest Arkansas there weren't a lot of chicken places around. Although that's starting to change now. AQ is a good place to get chicken in northwest Arkansas although they do offer other stuff besides chicken. Slim Chicken isn't too bad either.

I voted for Popeye's because of the chicken strips, but I love Chick-fil-A's waffle fries. Slim Chickens in Fayetteville is very good. I would have voted for them, but I decided not to go locally.

1 Church's Chicken (drool..)

2 Bojangles (nice spice)

3 Popeyes (not bad)

4 No thx to the rest of them.

-- (oops quick edit)

5 Chik-fil-A for a nice chicken sandwich or strips and waffle fries. Chik-fil-A is more a snack chicken than dinner chicken to me. :P I just really like good fried chicken.

I voted for Church's, partially becuase it's good, but also because it's extremely cheap. :)

Every single time I get chicken there it's fresh out the fryer. Price doesn't sway me too much unless something is ridiculously expensive.

I want to know how Bojangle's and KFC were forgotten.. lol. I'm so tired of Chick Fil A, btw, since we have 2 on campus!

That is why there is the "other" poll option.

There's not a Bojangles here in northwest Arkansas that's probably why Matt didn't include it. Until this topic had come up I had never even heard of it before.

Is Bojangles a lot like Popeye's? I read in the paper recently that they were expanding into North Alabama. BTW I voted for Chick-Fil-A. The restaurants are clean and the food is good.

What kills KFC is the inconsistency. They're the only chain listed that seems to have major quality issues from store to store. I've had near perfect KFC at one store and the next store I go to will serves something barely edible. It's a shame, because I like the taste better than the others when it's done right.
