Nope, not the same as the US. We refused to sign the agreement because we are a sovereign country and don't wish to be regulated by foreign powers with the purpose of destroying our economy..

China was exempted from the agreement. Meaning they weren't even required to sign it in the first place. I wonder how long it will take for China to surpass the US as the worlds largest polluter. Then what? do you think they'll sign on then? Do you think they will be required? China is not really know for submitting to outside control. How are the global warming alarmist going to force China into taking responsibly for "saving the planet" (as if).

It is not a tangent. All global warming alarmism based urban planning is politically motivated so any discussion of urban planning is a discussion about politics.

IN THE NEWS: Metroblogging Nashville nashville.metblogs.com reports that Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries is coming to Nashville. "The new outpost of D.C.'s favorite burger joint, which was actually started by five friends in a Washington suburb a few years back, will be at the corner of West End Ave. and 21st Ave. That's the new retail development on the old Fuddrucker's/Salathai site that will also feature a T.G.I. Friday's and a Jason's Deli."

From this blog:

Thie one is coming along... as of a couple weeks ago, the hole was dug and being filled back up by posts and slabs of concrete.

stewardship sustainability are all smoke screens for top-down planners to justify their socialist agenda...create some "crisis" and then set yourself up as enlightened... all government intervention affects the free market...East Nashville...fartsy neighborhood...make high profits...I don't fault them...to make money...hip and urban...I don't buy it.

I still am on the side that while this could be much much better, I think it will be good for the area by creating some foot traffic from Vanderbilt over there...then again, because a lot of people hate having to walk across West End (me being one of them) it might just turn into a destination for people to drive to and then it fails in my opinion...

at least it fronts the street...
