New Downtown Cleveland housing

Cleveland hasn't built new downtown housing in years, and with the stale economy, there have been no major downtown building projects in Cleveland for at least the last 3 years. This is the first new construction of housing for this and will be in the Warehouse District, a hot spot downtown. All of Cleveland's housing between the late 90's until now have been conversions of old downtown buildings into condos and apartments. It's not a huge project, but it sure is welcome. pinnacle_lakeside.jpgPrices Starting in the $300s

It surely looks nice to me!!! We all love to see huge projects that succeed, but this won't happen until smaller-scale projects receive the proper support. In fact, the rendering shows a building 13-14 stories tall... That's not bad, at all. In fact, I would say this is a major project, although Cleveland may "deserve" an even bigger project. With $300,000 per unit, starting price, these condos aren't really cheap, but I would not be surprised if they sell like hot cakes.

Great news for Cleveland! I count 13 stories....so, it's not huge, but still a good-sized project, especially for a city that hasn't seen anything in the way of new residential construction downtown in years. I sure wish Detroit could get something like that downtown....

The Avenue District site.

"The Avenue District will be a walkable neighborhood weaving seamlessly with The Theatre, Gateway, Civic, and Lakefront Districts and right next door to Cleveland State, and the Galleria."

This is an awesome looking proposal with big city feel. :)

So I noticed the original posting for this building was in 2004. Was this building ever constructed?
