Bartelsville

I was quite suprised to find out that the town of Bartlesville Oklahoma has a population of 35,000, yet it has a very distinct urban feel with a small town touch.

Some interesting buildings and pics. Isn't Bartlesville also where Frank Loyd Wright has a building?

Yes the green building in the pictures is Frank Lloyd Wright's only skyscraper, Price Tower. It was for many years home to an oil company (Bartlesville was the longtime home of Phillips Petroleum, which is why there are so many skyscrapers), and currently is home to The Inn at Price Tower as well as an art museum I believe. Bartlesville is home to the historic Frank Phillips Home, his ranch Woolaroc (also a museum), and the annual OKMozart Festival, which attracts classical music fans and artists from around the world.

The Price Tower is one of my favorite FLW buildings. I hope they have done a good job with the hotel.
