Recommended Posts

I decided to start a new thread for the pictures. I think it will end up being easier that way. Vdogg, if you have any reservations about it, let me know.

Anyways, I took 120 pics this weekend. I'll start posting them, either in batches of 30 or 40. Not sure yet. I'll give you guys time to check each batch out before I post the next (unless you'd prefer that I pumped them all out in quick succession.

okay guys... here's part I. It's mostly near the Tredegar Civil War Center and the river, along and near 5th street from Grace to Cary, and some other random shots... there might be some Franklin St pics on the end. As always, I hope you enjoy. (I'll be posting new development pics in a later post)

it's worth checking out... if you ever decide to actually venture off 95, let one of us know. We could give you some great pointers as to places to check out!

haha and keep in mind that about half of those pics were just a few blocks of Franklin st..... there's so much to treasure in the city!

That section of the building above isn't being demolished. It collapsed a few weeks back, even took out some parked cars in the process.

I think the collapsed portion was part of the building that housed (and maybe still does) a somewhat raucous club. If someone were to look at the rear of the building he would see an escape ramp that was constructed in the event of a castrophe. I would be very surprised (and placated) if someone can prove me wrong about the recent drive-by shooting at 21st and Main not being directly linked to the club.

Someone will have to explain to me why, in Virginia, people are allowed to carry arms into a public space. I think that is abominable!!!!!

And coupe, I will respond to the incredible fotos. You are an excellent, talented photographer.

But it takes thought and a logistical expertise to respond properly. It would be so nice if one could comment below each photo as one can do with Ryan's pictures. (hint, hint, vdogg!).
