Toyota eyeing Midlands for Auto Plant?

Saw this article in the state this morn. It is rumored that Toyota is considering a site in Aiken County, along with other sites in TN, and MS for an auto plant. What do y'all think the chances are that SC will land the plant? They have a site here in KY (Georgetown) which is about 15 miles NW of Lexington. The biggest thing I noticed is howmany people that drive Toyota's here.

I'd say they are pretty good. Aiken's advantage is a direct rail line to Charleston or you can drop down to Augusta and use their rail line to get to Savannah or Port Royal (though it may be too shallow for their needs)

It would be be a great asset to the area if they come.

How is the road network in the area?

That would be excellent. That plant would pull people from all across the Augusta-Aiken metropolitan area.
