I think that San Antonio and Austin should pool their interest and go after or seek a professional baseball(MLB) or (NFL) football team. Since the two metro areas will eventually merge and will have close to 4 million people they have a lot to offer.

What I-35 corridor should a stadium be built-San Marcos, Johnson City, Kyle, New Braunfels

The Florida Marlins are looking at San Antonio now. Lets San antonio and Austin due a joint venture to go aftetr them. The new Texas Metroplex with natural scenery

I think it would be too dificult to have a regional team in MLB. It would be hard to go home and get the kids after work and then commute to the stadium in time for a weeknight game.

The regional team would be great for an NFL team. Just one game a week on a Sunday afternoon.

I think you're correct. That would be a good idea for football, but wouldn't work for baseball. Baseball has too many games and needs a stadium located at a central population point.

Would the I-35 corridor train resolve this problem. I think most MLB teams draw from about the same land mass.
