Someone just posted this on Next Door. Fun shot of the corner in question.

I agree with @spenser1058 that the SoDo development itself is way better than Mills Park—particularly this half-built, toned down version of the original we ended up with. Orlando Health is a major as

Personally, I still miss the Donut Dinette! Meanwhile, the Vogue theater became infamous for becoming one of the first X-rated theaters in town before it was leveled for a '70's ranch-style Exxon

There was a Hooters downtown.

But, really, their wings along with the wing house are just ok.

Your right, but that was a different time altogether. I think the population, provided a better location then the first time, could definetly support it.

As far as the wings go: who really cares? I'm not really going for the quality of the food anyways.

Losing Will's kind of sucks. I never really went there, but that's the type of place that a city needs. An eclectic club that both city dwellers and those from the suburbs will visit.

Yeah they had a mixed crowd there all right. A hell of a selection of beer, also. :(

That's a prick move on his part. Watch him sell it to anyone but the developer.

Good point.

It may be an exercise in futility, because from what I've heard, the developer offered him a highly inflated amount. Unless he plans to accept a lower amount just for spite. That would be a shame.

Total idiot, but he most likely felt the pressure. Supposedly he always used an alley way in the back of the property, but it belonged to another business that the developer purchased and they already blocked him from using it. I don't believe it's greed, but him being naive that he would be able to beat the developer.
