It's my understanding that they canned the amusement park portion, and also the retail portion. To the city's chagrin, they will only build the condos and a few restaurants.

Clark might know. I know the four-tower 25st Marina Grande has started in Holly Hill, just north of downtown. And I believe that several other projects are in the works for downtown. If anything, the new performing arts center ought to be a catalyst for more development.

I believe it's well along in the construction phase.

Construction is nearly finished and I believe it's set to open in Jan.

Yeah, its a nice looking facility. good views from the 92 bridge.

It will definitely spurn development in the immediate area. Speaking of, I think the city or county bought the church behind there to make a new county anex and move the existing one from City Island. They may build condos on City Island afterwards.

I had always wondered why there weren't condos on city island. What a perfect location and if they build tall enough they would have great views.
