Florida Marlins may be looking for San Antonio home

How many people want to sit for 3 hours in the South Florida heat and humidity to watch baseball? If the Marlins had a domed stadium, they'd do fine.

I disagree. Tampa Bay plays in a domed stadium and they still do not draw many fans. There's too much competition for the entertainment dollar. Tampa has 5 minor league baseball teams within a 45 minute drive of their stadium, it's ridiculous. What other market has that to compete with? All the Florida markets have so many entertainment options that are a much better draw when you compare it to the price of tickets for a sporting event. Who wants to pay a hundred or more dollars for a night out to watch a baseball, basketball or hockey game when you could go out to a nice waterfront restaurant and or bar with friends and for less money.
