Jax on cnn

On a map,they are showing Jacksonville as place where people are moving.Great advertisment...people reading this and living in these expensive places will consider Jax as place to move.

I guess that explains all this condo building.

Man,look at L.A....lower wages and higher prices of housing.

Sucks to live there..or I might say,people in LA don't get as much as in Jax for same money.

i like jax and live here, but this gives a very poor picture of our city actually...

there are no photos there...just statistics that when looked at as a whole, offer a not wholly exciting "mental picture" of the city.

The statistics mostly show quantities, not rates. So it shows how many restaurants, how many colleges, how many movie theaters, how many museums, etc. But it doesn't offer any reference points.

For example, it says Jacksonville has 2,700 restaurants within a 15 mile radius. The average for the "best places" was 3,700. But what's the average population for the survey? If it's 500,000, Jax looks really bad. If it's 1,500,000 Jax looks really good. Without the context, the data is meaningless.

It also looks like they might be using city population figures, which isn't very helpful. Metro is more useful.
