Mith242 70 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 until it spreads into Southern Missouri? Yeah it already is. There really didn't use to be much just across the border. But there's a lot going on now. It might still take a while because that area was pretty lowly populated originally but it's going to change soon. A lot of retail is moving in because sales tax is much lower across the border there. I wouldn't say we'd ever develop something like what Texarkana has done. But I can easily see the northwest Arkansas metro growing towards the Joplin Missouri metro.
mcheiss 1 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 I see the metro now growing towards Highfill and XNA. I don't think we will loose a whole lot to Southwest Missouri. The only big changes that have occured over there in the past years are in retail with the Wal-Mart, restaurants, and a ford Dealership.
