Yeah it already is. There really didn't use to be much just across the border. But there's a lot going on now. It might still take a while because that area was pretty lowly populated originally but it's going to change soon. A lot of retail is moving in because sales tax is much lower across the border there. I wouldn't say we'd ever develop something like what Texarkana has done. But I can easily see the northwest Arkansas metro growing towards the Joplin Missouri metro.

I see the metro now growing towards Highfill and XNA. I don't think we will loose a whole lot to Southwest Missouri. The only big changes that have occured over there in the past years are in retail with the Wal-Mart, restaurants, and a ford Dealership.
