SZR Towers, Towers along Dubai's main highway

63 posts in this topic

There Probably going to build a 2000 Ft. Tower one of these days

I just think it's a great place for one. Just looking at all the great looking buildings being built. Dubai is going to have a great skyline and great architecture.

Plus you got the Sea, and the beautiful desert.

This is an idea that really needs to be considered.

I would have to think, and hope that this is being seriously considered.

If Dallas, Seattle, Toronto, Las Vegas, Sydney, Auckland, and many many other cities can have them, Dubai certainly can.

A very tall observation tower placed in an area with great views of both the skyline and the waterfront and marine projects would be spectacular.

How tall though? The best place would be on the waterfront I think.

^Realisticically, I think something atleast 1000 feet could be done.

The Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas is 1,149 feett tall and the CN Tower in Toronto is 1,822 feet, I'm sure Dubai could have an observation Tower with a hieght in between these two observation towers.

or perhaps 3 times the height :hahaha:

Yeah that's the Dubai way.

I wouldn't be suprised is Dubai went for something around 2000 feet. That way they could have not only the worlds tallest skyscraper, but the worlds tallest freestanding structure, a record that is currently held by the CN Tower.

I'm pretty sure that Burj Dubai is suppose to be taller than the CN Tower. I wonder if a hotel/observation tower would be cool in Dubai.

Thanks for the update DarkBlueBoss!!

I still can't believe that Abbco Rotana is going to pass up Burj Al Arab as the World's tallest Hotel.

They've still got a ways to go, if they want to finish be 2006.

Thanks for the info and pics DarkBlueBoss. I see you're an Inter Milan fan, how are they doing this year? I don't keep up with the Serie A as much as some of the other leagues.

Yes. It's very tall but as you can see, its design sucks ass!

Maybe a more detailed render would look better but still, this is the tower that's supposed to resemble big ben

Why on earth would they want to bring Big Ben along SZR Road. That would be an eyesore in my opinion, not to mention Falcon City of Wonders is already making a Big Ben Tower.

There's no big ben in falcon city. The one you heard about is this one. Hope it doesn't go through though. There is already some conflict with the planning authorities though because of this resemblance
