Shopps at Pinnacle Hills

Looks like another restaurant is heading to the Pinnacle area. Baker Bros is going to open a location somewhere in the Pinnacle area, which could be from the Pinnacle Point area to the Promenade Mall. Baker Bros is an American Deli based out of Dallas. Pork, have you ever eaten here? My guess is that it's either going to be in the old Market/Eat This Building, or it's the last of the 5 restaurants in the Promenade. Wherever it goes, it sure sounds like a great place to eat.

What is it with Dallas companies opening up their first out of Dallas restaurants up here? Fish City Grill is another one that's based in the Dallas area.

Dallas has a lot of former Arkansans. I suppose that could be a link as well. There's also a number of Texas people who attend the U of A too. Perhaps it's because it's the closest 'hot spot' near their metro.

What do you mean by hotspot. Texas A&M is in Texarkana and then the OU SOONERS are in Norman. Both are alot closer than NWA.

I just meant it's a fast growing area. NWA is the 6th fastest growing metro. I thought that it might have something to do with a number of Dallas investors have their eyes on NWA.

Uhh....Texas A&M is in College Station, not Texarkana! And Texarkana definitely IS NOT a hot spot. It is, however, the land of more cheap motel rooms/per capita than anywhere else--and I am not kidding.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that Pinnacle Hills and the Shoppes is the most Dallas-like area in NWA.

I don't understand why Dallas investors have their eyes on NWA. Other that Jerry Jones I don't see the connection.

I have managed to find two new tenants for the Shopps. Bath Junkie and Hunts Children Clothing will both be coming to a building in the Shopps off Market street. I'll try and find out sometime in the next week the exact location.

When's NWA going to get a Jason's Deli? They should've moved in a decade ago.

Jason's Deli is excellent!! They have a great variety of food and this area needs a good salad bar. I hope when the day comes they plan multiple locations in NWA.

Here's the response I got from Jason's Deli in August 2006...

At this time we do not have immediate plan to enter that market. Our Little Rock franchisee has the development rights to that market and just is not quite ready to build there. We have spoken about this market and he feels it is almost there. Look for one in a few years.

Sounds like it was just a matter of the LR franchisor to come up with the money. Now's the time to build in NWA or get left behind, so maybe he figured that out. A new one opened in NLR a couple of years ago and I'm sure it took a while to get the capital to open a new store and have enough trained employees to be able to move a few to open a new one.

You're right Julles. Baker Bros is what is suppose to be coming to Pinnacle Point, not Jason's Deli.

Wait, am I missing something? I don't think Thia said we're going to get a Jason's Deli, and looking up the thread, I don't see where anyone else did either.....? I'm all for it myself, but I think Thia was just saying she liked Jason's Deli, not that one is on the way. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
