Adding a little Mardi Gras to Atlanta's Ney Year's Parade

I originally posted this in the off topic thread, but I think it deserves its own thread.

It looks like some of the organizing officials are wanting to bring a bit of New Orleans to Atlanta this New Year's Eve/Day to make the Sugar Bowl feel right at home.

The organizers behind next month's Nokia Sugar Bowl will bring a taste of New Orleans to downtown Dec. 31 with a Mardi Gras-style parade that will include colorful floats, marching bands, giant balloons and beads, beads, beads.

That should be quite interesting. I hate to be pessimistic but if Atlanta's weather is true to it's nature, we will probably have 8 inches of snow or 3 inches of ice that weekend.
