The Train has Left the Station...

Did anybody notice that the passenger cars that had served as offices for Nicks Auto Sales on Pleasantburg (just past East North Street, across from Jeff Lynch) have moved?

There are a couple of photo essays at the Upstate Link and Greenville News Web sites.

Evidently the cars are going to be refurbished and returned to service behind a Steam Locomotive down in Gray Court.

It's a shame that these couldn't have somehow been moved to the tracks along the outfield at the new ballpark down in the West End and been integrated somehow as part of the overall experience.

It's cool these cars are returning to service. Will this be a tourist train, or some kind of commuter service?

Either the photo captions didn't specify or I didn't read them closely enough; however, I got the impression that they are being put into service for a tourist train.
