I don't think I saw it on my trip into Little Rock, but isn't the old train station still around? I had gotten the impression it was being used for something.

Mostly offices, there has been talk about converting it to mixed use again for some time. There are some businesses on the ground floor and there was a bar there called Slick Willy's for a long time.

You can get a great view of it from Cantrell on the other side over by Dillard's HQs and the Episcopal High School.

As it appears now...

Wow, that's some collection. :D Is the Park Hotel still around in Hot Springs. I can't recall seeing it when I was there earlier this year. And I think I recognize the City Hall in Little Rock now. What happened to the dome?

I'm not sure, but I think the Park Hotel is still there.

Don't know what happened to the dome on City Hall.

The Park Hotel is still there.

The dome wasn't architecturally sound and it would be expensive to replace so it was removed sometime well before I was born. Along the same lines, the clock tower on the Pulaski Co courthouse was lowered considerably for the same reason.

Terrific pictures, BTW.

Wow, really interesting!

I'm surprised at how busy Little Rock looks in 1910.

Yes, the park hotel is still there. It's down the little valley road by Arlington (I believe). I passed by there a few months ago....I think they're remodeling it.

It's amazing how similar Hot Springs looks today compared with that post card, and I think that's a very GOOD thing.

I found a postcard of the old bridge across Hamilton that was torn down a few years ago and replaced with a 4-lane bridge. We had a condo on Long Island right by it and I remember when they demolished the old one. Great fishing spot where the debris from the old bridge is now.

Ah, long island. I have a friend with a condo there.
