Maligned RenCen hits its stride

Six-year, $500 million makeover includes new stores, eateries

A five-story glass atrium, or wintergarden, was added at the Renaissance Center overlooking the Detroit River. A riverfront plaza will be unveiled this year.

This is really great. I'm not a fan of GM (do to the fact the burn there employees)much anymore but I think this is the first thing they have done right in a long time

You've got that right. They took an architectural disaster & made it bearable. They also attracted more stores and restaurants. I just wish all of this was on a main street in downtown. Imagine what people would think then!
